STATEWIDE VOTING CAMPAIGN

From Tuesday, October 8, through Election Day on Tuesday, November 5, voters in California can cast their vote and weigh in on important issues like access to voting rights, public safety, and the freedom to marry.

Voters can exercise their power to establish policies that reflect our California values. We value putting an end to mass incarceration. We value rehabilitation over exploitation in jails. We value rent control and permanent, supportive housing and care for all of our neighbors.

EAT LOCAL, VOTE LOCAL

ACLU of Southern California (2024)

“We firmly believe that a civically engaged public is the bedrock of a healthy and functioning democracy. This is why the ACLU SoCal — ahead of the 2024 General Election — is partnering with local restaurants, bakeries, and food vendors in the region to emphasize that voting is not just a right that we must fight for and exercise but that voting (and being civically engaged) is vital as the food we consume and a responsibility to our families and our communities.

By partnering with us on our "Eat Local, Vote Local" campaign, we hope to reach Southern California residents and inspire them to learn about local issues and measures that impact their families and neighbors; how our city, county, and state leaders and policymakers operate; and how all of us can actively participate beyond the ballot box.”
